"Happy Visits"

Dental Orientation

The Canadian Dental Association recommends the assessment of infants, by a dentist, within 6 months of the eruption of their first tooth or by one year of age. Sometimes this first visit is as simple as a ride in the chair for your little one to try to get them comfortable, and sometimes we are able to complete a full exam. Either way, our goal is to ensure that this first dental experience is a positive one.

Sealants

Dental sealants are a procedure that helps in the prevention of dental caries (or cavities). A thin plastic coating is applied to the chewing surface of back teeth to seal off the deeper grooves that can be more prone to tooth decay. The application of sealants is a quick and non-invasive way to help protect the teeth of your little ones.

Early Orthodontic Treatment

Appliances

Early diagnosis and intervention are fundamental in the management of potential growth and development concerns for your kids. Crowding of baby teeth, tooth grinding, and breathing issues are all possible indications for early orthodontic treatment. There are various dental appliances that can be used to manage these issues and set your little ones up for more ideal development of their jaws and teeth.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

In children that are anxious or just might need some extra help staying calm and comfortable, we may recommend sedation for certain dental visits. Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, sedation is a safe and effective way to make appointments a positive and relaxing experience for your kids.
