Dental implants are titanium screws that are surgically placed into a patient’s jawbone beneath the gums, that functions as the new “root” of the lost tooth/teeth. Whether you are missing only a single tooth, or all your teeth, implants are a great way to regain function (chewing), phonetics (speech), and esthetics (your smile). Prior to surgically inserting the implant, a through clinical exam and a 3D CBCT image of the area will be completed to assess you jawbone for an implant. Often time, some additional bone or soft tissue grafting will be needed to ensure the long-term health and stability of the implant(s).
If you are missing a tooth, multiple teeth, or are unhappy with the support of your current denture, please contact our office for a consultation with Dr. Mike Stearns regarding how implants could be an option for you.
